Relay for Life – CPC Youth Team walks to raise money to help cure cancer
For those of you who don't know what Relay for Life is....it's a really great fundraiser opportunity put on by the American Cancer Society to raise money for cutting-edge cancer research. It's also a time to celebrate the life of those who have battled cancer and survived and to remember those who have passed. It's an overnight event at PORTA High School, beginning Saturday, May 2 in the evening and ending Sunday, May 3 in the morning.
Our team will have a “campsite” which will be decorated according the theme, "Around the World"!!
Throughout the night, members of each team will take turns walking around the high school, supporting those who have battled cancer. The possibility of playing games at our campsite or selling some snacks to raise even more money is just a part of the fun of the night.
